The SC Wave Washington County select program provides an opportunity for a higher level of competition and training for more serious players who have demonstrated the ability, skill development and commitment to compete at a higher level ages U11 and older.
SELECT TEAM STRUCTURE
SC Wave Washington County, a satellite organization of the SC Wave Soccer Club, is committed to providing a high quality, inclusive youth select soccer program for players in Washington County and the surrounding areas between the ages of ten and nineteen years-old. Our goal is to develop players while teaching values that will help them throughout their lives, including teamwork, sportsmanship, hard work, and a sense of community.
SELECT TEAM Tryouts
Select tryouts are held to choose each team at the select level. These tryouts for select teams are held annually, generally in June and will be the responsibility of the Director of Coaching and Player Development Staff.
The Director of Coaching, along with assigned evaluators, will assume responsibility for selecting players to teams. All efforts will be made to insure that these evaluators will be experienced soccer personnel who are generally not personally acquainted with the players trying out for the team.
